Grand Prix, 67 Biennial Salón Arturo Michelena, 2014. Valencia, Venezuela
The series EMEK (Hebrew: valley), was created after a visit in Adamit National Park located in the northern part of Israel, overlooking the border with Lebanon, that cuts through the valley which separates in an artificial and arbitrary way both territories. It’s a dark print in spite of having color. The photography that inspired the print testifies to the diurnal quality of the real, while the etching approaches the nocturnal.
